Monthly Successes:

This month we combined our accounts to help simplify our finances. We re-evaluated our emergency fund and our expenses fund and made the necessary adjustments. By doing this we were able to pay a bigger payment on our house and saved more in interest! Now that our crazy summer is winding down we are able to spend more time on the blog and are super excited to share with you! Monthly Shortcomings:

Every year we like to ski in the American Birkebeiner Ski Marathon and we finally signed up for the race! We signed up a lot later than usual due to the house and the wedding expenses which ended up costing us an extra $50. This was a bit of a bummer, but we are excited for the race!

This month we started our new gear reviews! We have reviewed our Kelty Acadia 4 tent and Mr. Horizon’s Vasque Men’s Breeze 2.0 GTX hiking boots. Check them out here! More reviews are coming soon! Also Mr. Horizon started his 6 month Uber experiment which he will write about with his thoughts in the future. Mrs. Horizon began a month-long food expense experiment that she will share with everyone soon! Next week we have a post coming out about financial independence for all walks of life that we are very excited to share as it talks about Mr. Horizon's story. Stay tuned!
