Comments: Mr. Horizon and I have been on many adventures in the last two and a half years and I can honestly say that they wouldn’t have been the same without these boots! That may sound a bit dramatic but it isn’t! Bad footwear can really distract from having an amazing adventure. On our first backpacking trip I wore an old pair of tennis shoes and my feet were a mess. I was unable to walk normally for a week after that three day trip! After that fiasco we decided to invest in a pair of quality hiking boots. I was almost drawn away from these because of the cost but they fit the best and I am so glad that I stuck with them! I have never had a hot spot or blister in these boots and we have done trips of 20+ mile days in knee-high mud! When we backpacked in the Smokies, we were hit with a tropical storm and were completely soaked for four straight days. Even then, these boots kept my feet protected and supported. These rugged hiking boots keep my feet comfortable and sturdy whether on miles of rocky mountain passes, making our way down to the Colorado River at the Grand Canyon, or exploring the rocky coast of Maine. In the winter I even elect to use these as winter boots because they are more comfortable and when paired with wool socks they are warm too! Of all the outdoor purchases I have made, these boots are at the top of my equipment list!
