Rating (out of 5): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Price We Paid: $0 It was a Christmas present! On Amazon it is $43.26 per pair.
How long we have had it: 8 months
Pros: Easy to use, has held up to intense wear and tear, multiple foot options, easy to adjust height
Cons: Hand straps are a little tricky to adjust, unless fully disassembled they don’t fit in a standard carry on
Would we buy it again? We didn’t buy it the first time but after having it for a few intense hiking trips, we would definitely buy it again!
Comments: We got these trekking poles from family for Christmas and they have become a hiking staple for us now! Neither of us were very familiar with hiking with poles but quickly adapted and now we love hiking with them! We did a hike in Capitol Reef National Park that is actually IN the river and without these poles for stability and testing the depth of the river the hike would have been nearly impossible. During our recent trip to Peru these poles helped take a bit of weight off of our knees when we were trekking in the extreme landscape of the Andes. The poles are quite light, coming in at only 7.8oz per pole which is pretty awesome for the price! The Cascade Mountain Tech Carbon Fiber Adjustable Trekking Poles are easy to adjust so it isn’t a hassle to collapse them on a daily basis. These Cascade Mountain makes a variety of poles to suite everyone’s trekking needs! You can choose carbon fiber or aluminum, twist lock or quick lock, and cork or EVA grips. We would highly encourage cork grips as they are more breathable and less slippery when your hands get sweaty. These poles have hiked nearly 200 miles and they don’t look worn out! We are looking forward to many more miles of adventure with these hiking necessities!
